St. Croix Fishing
Other than the golf, serious USVI enthusiasts enjoy St. Croix fishing more than any other activity on-island. The crystal clear waters that provide the ‘playground’ for St. Croix fishing are home to an array of game fish including: marlin, wahoo, and sailfish. Multiple world records have been set aboard a St. Croix fishing trip.
Chartering a St. Croix fishing trip is a pretty simple matter. Day trips of four-hour side trips can be arranged for around $100/hr per person. Many St. Croix fishing charters will head for Lang Bank, an area offshore that offers astounding deep water fishing.
St. Croix Deep-Sea Fishing:
Vast arrays of big game fish live in the oceans surrounding St. Croix. Several different companies on the island offer guided St. Croix fishing excursions with a focus on big game fish like marlin, kingfish, wahoo, swordfish and yellowfin tuna.
St. Croix Diving:
The island has several great dive sites and at Buck Island National Reef, visitors are likely to spot lots of barracuda and parrot fish. Diving is permitted directly off Cane Bay, which has a spectacular drove off. Both North Star and Salt River on the North shore are accessed only via boat but offer the ability to float downwards through a canyon filled with colorful fish and coral.
